About

Paul & Ewelina tells the origin story of Sustainable Salons and the question that carried its founders from Amsterdam to outback Australia. That question grew into an innovative resource recovery program that has since diverted more than two million kilograms of salon materials from landfill.
The film follows founders Paul Frasca and Ewelina Soroko as they reflect on the experiences, relationships and ideas that shaped the organisation. Rather than telling the story through facts alone, it centres the people behind it, turning a complex sustainability challenge into something personal and accessible.

Two million kilograms of salon waste kept out of landfill is a hard number to feel. This film makes it human. By anchoring a movement in one relationship and one question, it turned an environmental statistic into a story audiences could carry out of the cinema, and gave Sustainable Salons a founder story working across screens, social feeds and stages in eight cities.
